Some of my favourite hours in Barcelona are between work and dinner. It's the time of day when the streets fill up, people gather outside for a vermouth and everything seems to slow down.
Most evenings start at La Vermu. It's only a short walk from our office and has become one of those places I always return to. One drink often turns into two, conversations run longer than expected and before you know it the afternoon has become evening.
From there it's usually a walk through Gràcia. I love this neighbourhood because it still feels local. You begin to recognise familiar faces, favourite cafés and the small rituals that make a place feel like home.
If there's time, I'll stop at Bar Roure for another drink or finish with a gelato from either Parallelo or Anita. Both have become part of my Barcelona routine.
These aren't necessarily the places you'll find in a guidebook. They're simply the places I keep coming back to.
